Minister Kristina Kallas to speak about the success of education system in Estonia at the world’s largest tech event GITEX Global

The Minister of Education and Research Kristina Kallas will be on a working visit in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Wednesday and Thursday, where she will speak on two stages of the main program at the invitation of the GITEX Global team, the world's largest technology and innovation event. Minister Kallas is accompanied by a delegation consisting of representatives of the EdTech companies SpeakTX and Triumf Health and the Universities of Tartu and Tallinn. Estonia is at the conference with a pavilion of 12 enterprises.

The minister will speak on the stage of the GITEX EdTech conference on artificial intelligence and Estonian education, and on the IMPACT stage on the topic of future skills and sustainability.

"An invitation to such an influential conference as GITEX shows once again that thanks to the success of Estonian education system, Estonia is expected to be among the big and influential on the global scale. I will definitely use this opportunity to sell our companies, Estonia’s education and research," said minister Kristina Kallas before the conference.

On the same day, the Minister will meet with the UAE Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence H.E. Omar Sultan Al Olama.

On Wednesday afternoon, Minister Kallas will make a speech at an event where the Estonian software development company Nortal signs a memorandum of understanding with the Dubai branch of Harrisburg University and the soon-to-be-opened Emirates Cyber Range cyber defense center.

On Thursday, the minister will participate in the meeting of the Business Council between the two countries and will visit the University of Sharjah to find cooperation opportunities for the Universities of Tallinn and Tartu.
